4.6 x 5.3 x 6 cm
A E Foote label
The label on this old specimen originally came from A. E. Foote who was THE mineral dealer in the USA in the 1800’s. The label probably means the specimen was collected prior to 1895 as it contains his Philadelphia address. The specimen appears rather dull compared to modern specimens with modern methods of cleaning. The amazonite crystals are well formed the largest measuringaround 3 cm tall. The smoky quartz is 6 x 2.6 cm and shows a strange conchoidal fracture on one side with a couple small bruises as well. However for a specimen over 120 years old what can you except?
