Terms and Conditions

An item can be bought by simply browsing through the shop and clicking on the “Add to cart” button by the item you would like. A reserved sign is then highlighted by the item until you actually fill in all the secure shopping cart pages, when a sold notice replaces the reserved one. Items can be removed from the basket. Once you have finished shopping click on the checkout button where you will be taken to the checkout stage. Here you will see what you have placed in your basket and be asked for contact details and method of shipping.

Completing the Order
Once the first stage of checkout has been completed you will be shown the total basket contents along with the shipping costs (which are always at cost and calculated automatically) and the contact details you supplied. At this second stage of checkout you will also be asked to decide on the method of payment.
Prices quoted are in pounds sterling, euros and US dollars but please remember the conversion from Sterling is an estimate and may change due to exchange fluctuations on a day to day basis, even though the rates shown daily are live.

You will be able to pay with a credit/debit card via Paypal. You do not need to register with Paypal in order to pay with your credit/debit card. Alternatively you can always email or phone me to place your order and pay with your credit/debit card that way.

You will need to agree to the terms and conditions before the order is processed. On completion of the order a confirmation email is sent to the email you supplied. You can cancel this order at any time before you click the place order button or by sending me an email.
Payment via the Paypal button. You will be taken automatically to the Paypal site where your payment will be taken and then returned to my site.

Payment by phone. I always welcome the opportunity to speak to customers so if you would prefer to telephone your order call +44 (0)1366 377064. If I am not able to get to the phone then please leave a message with clear instructions on how I can call you back and I will return the call as soon as I am able.
Payment by cheque. By opting for this option payment, details will be confirmed on the website checkout page.
Payment via any other option. Please email me if you would prefer to pay via any other means e.g. euros, bankers draft etc. and I will consider whether this would be possible.

Processing the Order
Confirmation of the order will be immediate and I would aim to ship the order within 2 working days from receipt. This may be longer at times when I am out of the country visiting shows, on holiday or working away from home, so please bear with me at these times.

All specimens seen are available for sale not unless they have a sold notice on them. As a rule I remove sold items when I update the site which is usually once a week or a fortnight. In the case where a specimen has been ordered that has already been ordered by another buyer, then the item is sold on a first-come-first-buy basis.

Shipping the Order
All orders are shipped via Royal mail and where items exceed 2kg via Parcelforce. Overseas orders, which are much welcomed are sent via airmail although surface mail is available should it be requested. This is not recommended as it takes such a long time to arrive. Any import duties or custom payments are the responsibility of the customer.
Insurance (which is extra and calculated automatically on the shopping cart if requested) is highly recommended for all orders over £60. Any loss or damage can then be claimed for in full upon photographic evidence or failure of the parcel to arrive. The maximum claim without insurance is £26.

Shipping charges are based on first class Royal Mail and are charged at cost although there is a small amount (usually £1) included for packaging materials. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Full refunds or a credit note will be given (less shipment costs) when you send Crystal Vine an email within 2 days of the specimen(s) arriving stating the reasons for non-acceptance and then only when the specimen(s) are returned undamaged within 14 days, well packed and protected. A longer time period will be accepted for overseas customers.
FAILURE OF ORDER TO ARRIVE: The loss of an order is very rare and I don’t think has happened since my business was started back in 1993. However if your parcel does not arrive within a “reasonable length” of time then contact me at Crystal Vine so that a full enquiry can take place.
